Promoting and maintaining mental health is a more relevant topic than ever before, in large part due to the pandemic. Meghan St. John, creator of a new podcast called Speak Little Forest, recently delved into the topic with Pam Coley McCann, a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice in the Berkshires and Associate Professor of Human Services at BCC.

BCC has inducted 69 students into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society of junior and community colleges. The purpose of the society is to recognize and encourage scholarship among students.

BCC Returns Ecology Flag to Full Mast on Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, BCC returned its ecology flag to full mast at 11 am on Thursday, April 22. The flag has been flying at half-staff as a symbol of the "forceful and unprecedented assault on the environment" since March 2017, explained BCC President Ellen Kennedy.

BCC Student Monica Bliss Named to All-USA Academic Team

Monica Bliss, a student at Berkshire Community College, is one of 20 college students across the country named to the All-USA Academic Team. The prestigious award is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Bliss, who maintains a 4.0 grade point average, will receive a $5,000 scholarship to continue her education. She will be recognized at an AACC virtual convention on May 13, 2021.
