Daniel Dillon '62 Heart of Service Award
Remembering a Gentle Giant
In the beginning of 2021, we lost an integral member of our Berkshire community. Daniel Dillon '62 lost the battle to COVID-19 on January 4 and left a legacy of love, compassion, and service to others.
Dan was an incredible individual who cared deeply about his community, and we at BCC are fortunate to have been a part of his legacy. Dan was a fierce advocate for those who needed opportunity and believed so strongly that education was one way for individuals to have a better quality of life and that nothing should prohibit them from walking into a classroom.
We feel grateful and humbled by the opportunity to create our first annually awarded alumni award together with the BCC Alumni Association Board and Dan's family. The Daniel Dillon '62 Heart of Service Alumni Award will help ensure that his legacy continues to live on by a BCC alum who embodies his most revered characteristics of being selfless, community-minded, and caring.
We know that Dan has made an impact on countless lives and played significant roles in many of our Berkshire organizations and we wanted to share this opportunity with you to honor a BCC alum who mirrors Dan's commitment to others.
Dan will live on in the memories we have of him, the stories we continue to share, and the lasting good he did to make our community better.
