Registered Behavior Technician Overview
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is trained to help children and adults learn positive skills and behaviors. Under the supervision of a BCBA, RBTs help to implement behavioral interventions and other supports to help individuals struggling with behavioral challenges.
The 40-hour RBT training program provides instruction on many topics, including:
- Behavior Anaylsis Basics
- Data Collection & Measurement
- Verbal Behavior & Behavior Reduction
- Functional Assessment
- Reinforcement
- Ethics
Job Growth and Wages
The average rate of pay for a Registered Behavior Technician is $21.00 – $27.00 per hour.
