Peer Recovery Coach Training

Self-paced Virtual Training

The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Peer Recovery Coach Training is a comprehensive course designed to empower individuals to support others on their recovery journey. Training includes immersive learning, ethical guidance and a choice of specialized modules. This training is ideal for those new to the field or currently providing peer support services. Training will include:

  • Recovery Coach Academy – 30 hours (5 days)
  • Ethical Considerations – 16 hours (2.5 days)
  • One-year webinar membership
  • Supplemental training, choice of:
    • Spirituality for recovery coaches – 12 hours (2 days)
    • Professionalism – 12 hours (2 days)
    • Recovery coaching in emergency departments – 12 hours (2 days)
    • Coachervision (supervisory Training) – 12 hours (2 days)
    • Justice setting – 12 hours (2 days)
