Flexible Learning

Life doesn't fit into a one-size-fits-all schedule — and neither should your classes. With flexible learning options, you choose what works best for you:

In-person for face-to-face interaction

Hybrid for a mix of classroom and online convenience

Fully online for ultimate flexibility

Accelerated courses to finish faster

All courses at BCC use our online learning platform to some degree. No matter your lifestyle, we've got a format that fits. Take control of your learning and build a schedule that works for you!

Online Learning

Each term BCC offers a number of hybrid and fully online courses across our Programs of Study.

Hybrid courses have required on-campus, in-person classes at specific times. Additionally, students complete half of the course through the online learning platform. To search for hybrid classes at BCC, visit courses and course sections , select a term and search. Filter the results by choosing "Hybrid" in the Instruction Type filter.

Fully online courses have no on-campus component and no set meeting times. Students complete all coursework in the online learning platform at times that work with their schedule, meeting specific deadlines, interacting with their classmates, and receiving instructor feedback all online. To search online classes at BCC, visit courses and course sections , select a term and choose "online" in the location field.

BCC also offers completely online associate degrees and certificates in Business, Liberal Arts and Medical Coding. The Business and Liberal Arts programs support the MassTransfer program — allowing easy, seamless transfer from BCC to a four-year state school.

Online students can schedule advising, registration, and financial aid appointments remotely, eliminating the need to come to campus. To get started, email Admissions at onestop@berkshirecc.edu or set up a virtual meeting .

Accelerated Courses

Life is busy — work, family, and personal commitments can make a traditional semester feel overwhelming. That's where Accelerated courses come in. These accelerated classes let you focus on fewer subjects at a time, helping you stay on track toward your degree without sacrificing flexibility. With a shorter timeline, you can dive deep into the material, finish faster, and keep momentum going — all while balancing your busy schedule. Perfect for students who want efficiency without compromising quality.

Accelerated courses are offered during the intersession and summer terms as well as 7-week courses during the fall and spring semesters.

To search for intersession and summer courses, visit courses and course sections and select "Intersession" or "Summer" as the Term. All courses during these terms are accelerated.

For 7-week courses, visit courses and course sections and select "Fall" or "Spring" as the Term. In the search results, look for Section Names ending with F or S. For example, ENG-101-F1 means the course is offered for the first seven weeks of the semester and ENG-102-S1 means the course is offered during the second seven weeks of the semester.
