Community Fest Activities

Berkshire Community College (BCC), the first community college in the Commonwealth, is celebrating its 65th anniversary as the Berkshire's community college — where access to higher education for all is our priority.

To celebrate, BCC is hosting Community Fest on campus and everyone is invited!

The College's high-quality faculty and some experts in their fields will lead activities, including:

  • Educational offerings in the new nursing SIM or A&P lab;
  • Hands-on science experiments in the new Berkshire Science Commons;
  • An opportunity to record yourself in the new Recording Studio;
  • Guided hikes on the 180 acres of the BCC campus;
  • Athletic competitions at the updated Paterson Field House or a chance to enjoy the only public outdoor pool in the county;
  • Guided tours of the newly reimagined BCC campus;
  • Conversations with student and alumni artists in the new Koussevitzky Arts Gallery; and
  • A walk down memory lane with an archival display from the new BCC Library.

Campus Updates

In just the past ten years or so, the campus has gone through so many changes: from new academic buildings and programs to an accessible quad and new One Stop Enrollment Center. This celebration is the culmination of years of positive changes on campus and in the community. What's more, community college is free in the Commonwealth for Massachusetts residents without a bachelor's degree, and BCC has seen a surge of new students enroll and take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
