Why work at BCC?
BCC is more than the first community college in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
— it’s a place where possibility takes root. Set against the rolling Berkshire Hills
on our newly renovated 180-acre campus, BCC serves over 2,000 students who come to
us with diverse stories, bold aspirations, and a shared desire to build brighter futures.
Just minutes from downtown Pittsfield, our College offers an intimate, student-centered
learning environment defined by small class sizes, meaningful faculty connections,
and a culture that celebrates each learner. Inspired by the legacies of local trailblazers
like W.E.B. Du Bois, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth (Mumbet) Freeman, BCC carries
forward a deep commitment to access, equity, and transformative education.
The Berkshires themselves reflect this spirit — a dynamic region where natural beauty
meets world-class arts and culture, and where more than 70 nations are represented
in the fabric of our community. As Pittsfield and Berkshire County continue to grow
and evolve, BCC stands at the center of that momentum.
We are actively seeking dedicated, mission-driven individuals who want to make a difference.
At BCC, you’ll join a diverse team that believes education changes lives — because
we see it happen every day. We welcome employees whose lived experiences, perspectives,
and passion for inclusion strengthen our community and help our students succeed.
Join us. Be part of a College that empowers, uplifts, and creates opportunity — for
our students, for the Berkshires, and for you.
