The profiles are intended to raise awareness about how these funds are helping city residents and/or small businesses who were negatively impacted by the pandemic.

Summer camps held on BCC's main campus include Barrington Stage Company's Kids Act! and TeensAct!; Berkshire Family YMCA; USG; Flying Cloud Institute's Young Women in Science; and the Berkshire collaborative STEAM Team.

BCC's new culinary apprenticeship program combines instruction in the classroom and in a teaching kitchen with professional work in the field. The certificate program begins this fall, and applications are being accepted now.

BCC, thanks to a federal Carl D. Perkins Grant, will install new equipment and the College will hire a full-time faculty member this fall.

BCC reports that of the 13 students who completed its Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training, nine took the required psychomotor test, and all nine passed the exam. Read more.

The College is set to change to one of their campus roads. In partnership with Berkshire Regional Transit Authority and in an effort to improve accessibility throughout our campus, we will be reversing the direction of Fire Road effective Monday, August 12, 2024.

BCC will offer free community college to all MA residents without a bachelor’s degree starting this fall after Governor Maura Healey signed the Massachusetts FY25 budget yesterday.

BCC is offering training for CNAs, Community Health Workers, Medical Interpreters, Phlebotomy Technicians, Community Interpreters, Mental Health First Aid and more.

Workshop topics include art, music, cooking, hospitality, fitness, recreation, self care, business, money management and professional development.

This complimentary workshop will offer participants an opportunity to learn about addiction, brain changes that fuel the addictive process, and common misconceptions about addiction and recovery.
