Hara Charlier, Ph.D

Hara D. Charlier begins as President of BCC in July 2026. A collaborative and student-centered leader, she is passionate about expanding access to higher education and strengthening opportunities for students and communities across the Berkshires.

Prior to joining BCC, Dr. Charlier served as president of Central Lakes College in Minnesota, where she advanced student success, grew enrollment, and strengthened partnerships that supported both learners and the broader community. Her leadership is grounded in building relationships, fostering a sense of belonging, and ensuring every voice is heard.

Dr. Charlier holds degrees from Cornell University, Miami University, and Old Dominion University, and is honored to join the BCC community at this exciting moment in its history.
